Department Rules
These policies apply to every member of the Paleto Bay Police Department, on and off duty.
- Placeholder: All members must remain in character while on duty.
- Placeholder: Follow all server rules at all times; department rules are in addition to them.
- Placeholder: Report misconduct to a supervisor rather than handling it in character.
- Placeholder: No powergaming, metagaming or fail RP.
- Placeholder: Value your life in every scenario.
- Placeholder: Give civilians a fair and realistic roleplay experience.
- Placeholder: Use proper ten-codes and clear callsigns.
- Placeholder: Keep primary channel clear during active pursuits.
- Placeholder: No out-of-character chatter on department radio.
- Placeholder: Drive realistically; no stunt or arcade driving.
- Placeholder: Only use vehicles authorised for your rank and division.
- Placeholder: Report vehicle damage at the end of each shift.
- Placeholder: Always attempt de-escalation first.
- Placeholder: Force must be proportionate to the threat presented.
- Placeholder: Any lethal force incident requires a supervisor review.
- Placeholder: Address concerns with your direct supervisor first.
- Placeholder: Do not bypass ranks unless the matter involves your supervisor.
- Placeholder: Lawful orders from a superior are to be followed on scene.
- Placeholder: Treat all members and civilians with respect.
- Placeholder: Represent the department well both in and out of character.
- Placeholder: Harassment or discrimination results in immediate removal.
- Placeholder: Keep channels on topic and use the correct category.
- Placeholder: No NSFW content, spam or advertising.
- Placeholder: Keep your nickname formatted as callsign, name and rank.
